Since VDDIO may only be operated with 1.71 &#8211; 1.95 volts, the entire module must be operated with this voltage. VDD may be operated up to 3.6 V and since the output pin of the module is labeled VDD, I assumed that 3.3 volts is OK. But that is wrong! I have changed the example circuits accordingly.     <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">16th April 2025 &#8211; Extension of the ADXL345 library for the ADXL343<\/h2>\n\n<p>The ADXL343 is identical to the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/adxl345-the-universal-accelerometer-part-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ADXL345<\/a> in terms of its registers. There are only marginal differences in the specification. All example sketches in my <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ADXL345_WE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ADXL345_WE<\/a> library also run unchanged on the ADXL343. However, some people may feel better if they can name the ADXL343 as &#8220;ADXL343&#8221; in their sketches. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;ve added a separate class and &#8220;defines&#8221;.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">23rd February 2025 &#8211; Article about the ESP-01 revised<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have revised the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/esp8266-esp-01-module\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article about the ESP-01 module<\/a>. The following has been changed or added: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addition of the ESP-01S module.<\/li>\n<li>Circuits for uploading sketches via Arduino revised.<\/li>\n<li>Handling of programmers and adapters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3rd February 2025 &#8211; Wemos D1 mini, ADS1220<\/h2>\n\n<p>Once again, I have been working on existing articles over the last few weeks and have therefore not published any new ones. Among other things: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I added version 4.0.0 to the article about <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/wemos-d1-mini-boards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wemos D1 mini boards<\/a> and wrote something about deep sleep.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>I have extended my library for the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/4-channel-24-bit-adc-ads1220\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ADS1220<\/a> so that you can now control several modules simultaneously with the Arduino UNO R4 boards.<\/li>\n<li>In the libraries for the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/icm-20948-9-axis-sensor-part-i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICM20948<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/adxl345-the-universal-accelerometer-part-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ADXL345<\/a>, I have revised the way of passing xyzFloat variables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12th January 2025 &#8211; Miscellaneous<\/h2>\n\n<p>With the increasing number of articles and libraries, the number of requests, maintenance work, updates etc. inevitably increases. Accordingly, there is less time for new contributions. That&#8217;s just the way it is! <\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a brief summary of the most important things I&#8217;ve taken care of in the last few weeks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With my library for the ICM20948(click <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/icm-20948-9-axis-sensor-part-i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for the article, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ICM20948_WE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> for GitHub) there were always problems with magnetometer detection. The problem is solved! \n<ul>\n<li>Advance warning: I will have to make a change to the library for other reasons that is not backwards compatible. Existing sketches need a (small) change. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Update of my <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ADS1115_mpy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Micropython library for the ADS1115<\/a>. I have added support for the ADS1015, as I did previously for the Arduino version of the library. <\/li>\n<li>ADXL345 modules (acceleration sensor) have problems with SPI communication under certain conditions. I have added corresponding notes to my <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ADXL345_WE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">library on GitHub<\/a> in the ReadMe. <\/li>\n<li>In my <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/hc-05-and-hc-06-bluetooth-modules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article on the HC-05\/HC-06 modules<\/a>, I added a sketch which shows how to control two HC-05 &#8220;slaves&#8221; by one HC-05 &#8220;master&#8221; using the multiplexing method.<\/li>\n<li>In my article &#8220;WLAN with ESP8266 and ESP32&#8221; I have added a sketch (which you can find <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/using-wifi-with-the-esp8266-and-esp32#refresh_issue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>), which provides a remedy if the page refresh is necessary, but also leads to problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19th July 2024 &#8211; ESP-NOW contribution adapted to ESP32 &#8211; package version 3.x<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have adapted the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/esp-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESP-NOW<\/a> article regarding the changes from ESP32 board package version 3.0.0 and &#8220;repaired&#8221; the sketches. Accordingly, the sketches no longer work with board packages of versions &lt; 3.x. <\/p>\n<p>Apart from the annoying incompatibility, ESP-NOW has some useful additional functions from ESP32 board package version 3.0.0. There will be a separate article on this. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2nd June 2024 &#8211; Problems with the ESP32 board package, version 3.x<\/h2>\n\n<p>As some of you may have noticed, the ESP32 board package has been updated from version 2.0.17 to version 3.0.0 &#8211; unfortunately not backwards compatible in many aspects. <\/p>\n<p>I have already changed a few little things in one place or another. But ESP-NOW was probably the hardest hit. <\/p>\n<p>If you notice something related to ESP32 sketches that does not work, please let me know. I will try to adapt things as quickly as possible. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">31st May 2024 &#8211; Setting the DS3231 with a DCF77 module<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have added a sketch to my article about the DS3231 module, which shows how you can adjust the module alarm-controlled with a DCF77 module at regular intervals. <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/ds3231-real-time-clock#set_ds3231_with_dcf77\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here<\/a> to go directly to the relevant section.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13th April 2024 &#8211; ADXL345: SPI problems solved for some modules<\/h2>\n\n<p>Certain ADXL345 modules do not work easily via SPI 4-Wire. But there is an easy way to solve the problem. You can find details <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/adxl345-the-universal-accelerometer-part-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> in my article on the ADXL345 and <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ADXL345_WE?tab=readme-ov-file#if-spi-does-not-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> on Github.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">19th December 2023 &#8211; ADS1115_WE now also works with the ADS1015<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have now made my <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/ADS1115_WE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ADS1115_WE<\/a> library &#8220;ADS1015-compatible&#8221;. The new version 1.5.0 is available on Github and should also be available via the Arduino IDE in the next few days. The ADS1015 has a lower resolution (16 bit compared to 12 bit), but is also up to three times faster.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9th December 2023 &#8211; Range option in INA226_WE eliminated<\/h2>\n\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wollewald\/INA226_WE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INA226_WE<\/a> library, I had set two ranges for the current, namely 0.8 and 0.4 amperes. However, I have now realized that the smaller range does not provide any advantage in terms of resolution. A new version (1.2.9) of the library is now available.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">22nd October 2023 &#8211; Compatibility mode for INA226_WE<\/h2>\n\n<p>When I wrote the libraries INA226_WE and INA219_WE, I did not use the best names for the measurement modes (POWER_DOWN, TRIGGERED, CONTINUOUS). As a result, both libraries cannot be integrated in a sketch. To solve the problem and ensure compatibility with older versions, I have added a file &#8220;INA226_WE_config.h&#8221; to the INA226_WE, in which you can activate a compatibility mode by uncommenting the line &#8220;\/\/#define INA226_WE_COMPATIBILITY_MODE_&#8221;. Then use the names of the measurement modes preceded by &#8220;INA226_&#8221;, e.g. &#8220;INA226_CONTINUOUS&#8221;.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21st September 2023 &#8211; Comment function was defective<\/h2>\n\n<p>Due to an update of my comment spam filter, all submitted comments were lost from September 13th to September 21st. I apologize for that. It should work again now. If this or other problems occur, please contact me by e-mail (wolfgang.ewald@wolles-elektronikkiste.de).     <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">18th September &#8211; Sleep sketches for ICM20948_WE and MPU9250_WE<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have added example sketches for the sleep mode to my libraries for the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/mpu9250-9-axis-sensor-module-part-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MPU9250<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/icm-20948-9-axis-sensor-part-i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICM20948<\/a>. The magnetometer must always be switched off first and then the &#8220;main IC&#8221;. When waking up, it is the other way around.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12th of April 2023 &#8211; Update EEPROM_SPI_WE<\/h2>\n\n<p>I have revised the <a href=\"https:\/\/wolles-elektronikkiste.de\/en\/eeprom-part-3-external-spi-eeproms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EEPROM_SPI_WE<\/a> library. On the one hand, it can now also control small EEPROMs such as the 25LC010, 25LC020 or 25LC040.
